Ajaib! Internet telah membuat kehidupan saya berubah. Kini selain berupa aset virtual yang tersebar dan bernilai tinggi, aset-aset saya juga berkembang di dunia offline baik dalam bentuk properti, tanah, dan lainnya.

Mengapa punya aset?

Kata Robert Kiyosaki dalam Rich Dad, Poor Dad, aset adalah sesuatu yang menghasilkan pendapatan. Jadi, kalau yang anda miliki, seperti rumah yang anda tinggali misal tidak memberikan pendapatan buat anda, berarti itu bukan aset.
Untuk hidup sejahtera, anda perlu punya aset karena:

Aset yang membiayai anda. Anda menjadi kaya dengan mengumpulkan aset yang menghasilkan. Sebab aset-aset itu yang akan bekerja untuk anda. Sehingga aset-aset itu yang membiayai kehidupan anda selanjutnya.
Banyak sumber pemasukan. Dengan punya banyak dan beragam aset, berarti anda punya beragam sumber pemasukan yang siap membiayai hidup anda. Tentu pendapatan yang dihasilkan aset anda tersebut, harus lebih besar dari pengeluaran anda.
Aset terus bekerja. Tidak peduli apakah anda sedang sakit atau malas-malasan, aset akan terus bekerja untuk anda. Sebaliknya, bila anda bekerja untuk mendapatkan uang, maka begitu sakit berarti pendapatan anda berhenti. Betul kan?
